Italian Wine Class
● Main Italian wine regions
● The most important Italian grapes
● Wine styles from the North to the South
● Taste 6 high quality wines
● Cheese, chocolate & aged vinegar
This is a 2 hour
approach to the
Italian wine
regions, a tasty
tour of Italy.
In a unique and
refreshing way,
our sommelier
will run you
through the
major Italian
wine regions,
appellations and
grape varietals.
All in all, a
great
introductory
course to
Italian wines.
There will be
talk about wine
making, how to
read an Italian
label and how to
navigate a wine
list. You will
also learn about
wine tasting
techniques and
strategies for
pairing food and
wine!
During the two
hours you will
taste great
wines from the
North to the
South of Italy -
wines to
illustrate the
differences in
wine culture,
history and
tradition,
native grape
varietals, and
finally the terroirs you
will find in
Italy.
(Together with
the tasting,
we'll usually
give you some
bread and olive
oil, a slice of
Italian cheese
and why not some
chocolate and
a taste of a 12
yr old balsamic
vinegar?! We're
not skimpy with
the pours, but
please be aware
that we're
"tasting" wines and we'll pair
wines with some
food samples
when possible, however, it's not a meal, simply
examples of how food and wines pair together)
